  Clorets freshens up with ComutaNet (10 October, 2007) 

Trusted brand Clorets called on ComutaNet’s Interactive Division to promote its new 2 Pack to hawkers, spaza shops and commuters.

At only 50 cents for two chewing gums, the newly launched 2 Pack is the perfect on-the-go breath freshener and promises to be a fast-moving item for hawkers.

“Spaza shops and hawkers are often the main source of basic groceries for many commuters,” says Pieter Groenewald, the Managing Director of ComutaNet “It made sense to concentrate the six month Clorets promotion at ranks in close proximity to wholesalers and street vendors.”

The national campaign was supported by ComutaNet’s Interactive promoters who took ownership of the taxi ranks adorned in bright green t-shirts, branded bags and striking teardrop banners to dispense Clorets samples to vendors and commuters.

“Proper branding creates a real buzz around the promotion,” comments Groenewald “As does the selection of promoters who are not afraid to engage with their consumers.”

Billboard advertising and taxi branding further enhanced the message “This intensive campaign combined with branding is sure to cement this new package as a vendor staple,” concludes Groenewald.
