  ComutaNet takes JetMart to the people (18 October, 2007) 

Jet Mart again contracted several ComutaNet advertising platforms to alert customers of its latest in-store specials and new store openings. In the process, over one million leaflets were distributed each month from April 2006 to August 2007 – a total distribution of over 17 million brochures.

The national campaign involved ComutaNet Interactive promoters distributing leaflets at 30 key taxi ranks close to Jet Mart stores – boosting foot traffic to existing stores and introducing newly launched stores.

“Retailers, like Jet Mart, need to constantly conduct advertising amongst its target market” says Pieter Groenewald, Managing Director, ComutaNet “Which we are able to provide by placing the message in the hands of its direct consumer.”

To gauge the efficacy of the campaign, ComutaNet relied on Freshly Ground Insights (FGI) an independent market intelligent company to conduct intensive studies and research. “Wherever possible, we encourage research to guide advertising solutions we present to clients” comments Groenewald.

The results were revealing; they confirmed that consistent advertising is the key driver of awareness for Jet Mart stores.  Advertising leaflets distributed by ComutaNet proved to be the strongest influencer of consumer purchase behaviour with approximately 86% of Jet Mart customers saying that specials advertised on leaflets brought them into the stores.
